The estates and acquisitions function drives that ambition. From identifying the right locations and negotiating new sites, to managing the operational efficiency of an extensive leasehold portfolio, these roles will directly influence how Screwfix grows and performs across the country.

    

One Strategic Mission

W Talent has been exclusively appointed to manage the search for four senior property professionals who will each play a distinct but interconnected role in delivering Screwfix's estates strategy.

  • National Acquisition & New Store Formats Manager (Head of Acquisitions)

At the forefront of Screwfix's growth, the successful candidate will lead the acquisitions strategy and team. They will drive new store openings across both traditional formats and innovative new concepts.

This role demands a commercially astute acquisitions professional with the confidence to shape strategy, influence at a senior level, and deliver results at pace in a complex, multi-site retail environment.

  • National Property & Estates Manager

With a large and active leasehold portfolio to oversee, this role leads the team responsible for the efficient operational management of the entire estate. 

Key accountabilities include:

Occupancy cost management, including service charge, business rates, and insurance
Estate data integrity and documentation standards
Compliance across the leasehold portfolio

This is a critical function that sits at the intersection of operational discipline and commercial performance. It’s ideal for a seasoned property professional thriving on efficiency and who demands control across a large, complex estate.

  • Divisional Portfolio & Asset Manager β€” North & South (x2)

Two commercially focused regional leadership roles - one for the North, one for the South. Each manager will transform estate performance across their respective areas of the UK.

The Divisional Portfolio & Asset Managers will be responsible for:

Strategic lease management and estate optimisation
Asset performance and value creation
Team leadership and development
Data-driven decision-making to maximise portfolio efficiency

These are hands-on, high-impact roles for property professionals who combine commercial acumen with leadership. Ideally, candidates should have experience managing large, multi-site retail or trade estates.
