W Talent Manufacturing are working with a leading precision metals manufacturer based in Coventry, renowned for their high-quality engineered components and strong reputation across the casting, forging, and machining sectors.

As part of their continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Technical Sales Manager to drive commercial success and strengthen customer relationships within key industrial markets.

The Role

As Technical Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies that deliver profitable growth. You'll combine technical understanding with commercial acumen to identify new business opportunities, manage existing customer accounts, and promote the company's capabilities across a range of metals-based products and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Manage and grow key customer accounts, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across relevant sectors (automotive, aerospace, energy, etc.).
  • Work closely with internal engineering and operations teams to ensure technical alignment and project success.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, quotations, and contracts with customers.
  • Provide accurate market intelligence and feedback to support business planning and product development.

About You

We're looking for a driven and technically minded sales professional with experience in the metals industry. You'll be confident managing complex, solution-based sales and building relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders.

  • Proven track record in Sales, Business Development, Commercial, or Key Account Management roles.
  • Background in metals manufacturing, ideally casting, forging, machining, or similar precision engineering environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with a passion for delivering value to customers.
