Procurement Category Manager
W Talent are partnering with a global corporate organisation to recruit an Indirect Procurement Category Manager. You will ideally be based in Sheffield or Birmingham; this is a hybrid position encouraging applications requiring flexibility. Expect to 3 days office work with stakeholders and 2 working from home.
Position Overview
As the Indirect Procurement Category Manager, you will focus on continuous improvement within this significant and diverse supply chain of suppliers and their service provisions. Quality assurance, systems improvement, innovation, and total cost of service acquisition will be the success drivers in this Procurement role.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing strategic direction for the procurement of services aligned to corporate objectives.
- Lead indirect procurement category management projects.
- Lead high value sourcing projects to ensure continuous improvement and stakeholder value.
- Stakeholder influence, managing vendor risk and driving vendor innovation.
- Risk Management.
- A wide range of indirect procurement categories of significant value
Key Requirements
- Category procurement management direct or indirect.
- Demonstratable ability to guide and influence a wide range of senior stakeholders.
- A commercially astute operator.
- Strong data analysis skills supporting strategic procurement decision making.
- Leading large-scale negotiations.
- Strong experience of executing complex sourcing processes.
- Clear and precise project progress reporting skills.
- Project management.
- Proven success in ensuring exacting standards of quality and compliance.
- Willingness to learn Financial Services relevant standards, directives, and regulations.
