Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager to support a central Procurement Business Office within a complex, fast-paced organisation.

This role will play a critical part in driving procurement programme visibility, governance, and delivery, ensuring that key projects remain on track and risks are effectively managed and communicated.


The Role

As Programme Manager, you will act as the central coordination point across procurement initiatives, ensuring alignment, accountability, and progress across multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with key stakeholders to track progress of procurement projects and proactively manage supplier-related risks
  • Collating complex data across the Procurement function and producing clear executive summaries and timeline updates
  • Identifying, managing, and escalating risks, compliance issues, and delivery challenges
  • Acting as a gatekeeper across procurement activities, ensuring governance and process adherence
  • Driving accountability by holding stakeholders to agreed timelines and deliverables
  • Supporting contract-related activities, ensuring strong contract management practices are in place
  • Highlighting red flags early and ensuring mitigation actions are clearly defined and tracked
  • Driving performance and ownership across internal teams and stakeholders

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a Programme Manager / PMO / Procurement Business Office role
  • Strong background in procurement environments, ideally within complex or regulated organisations
  • Experience in contract management and supplier oversight
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage and interpret complex data sets
  • Confident communicator with the ability to challenge, influence, and hold stakeholders to account
  • A self-starter who can operate with autonomy and drive outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical, governance-led approach
