A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Procurement professional to join a growing and ambitious organisation.

We are looking for a highly motivated Lead Procurement Manager with a strong stockist environment background and experience managing multiple SKUs within a fast-paced operational business. CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS would be a significant advantage.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving procurement strategy, modernising procurement operations, and leading a high-performing procurement function.

The Role

As Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Group procurement strategy, with a strong focus on:

  • Strategic sourcing and supplier management
  • Procurement transformation and process improvement
  • MRP forecasting and inventory optimisation
  • Cost control and operational efficiency
  • Digital procurement systems and automation
  • Team leadership and development

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure procurement delivers commercial value, supports operational growth, and drives continuous improvement.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys leading change, and has a hands-on approach to procurement leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Group procurement strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Lead procurement transformation initiatives including digital tools, analytics, and e-procurement systems
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance KPIs
  • Drive efficiencies across sourcing, stock control, and supply chain operations
  • Further develop MRP forecasting systems (SAP Business One experience highly desirable)
  • Ensure procurement processes support monthly financial reporting timelines
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team
  • Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across the department

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Proven procurement leadership experience within a stockholding / stockist business
  • Experience managing high-volume, multi-SKU procurement environments
  • Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Experience with MRP systems and procurement analytics
  • A proactive, commercially focused mindset
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities
  • Experience leading teams in fast-paced operational businesses
  • Knowledge of AI or digital procurement technologies would be advantageous
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) highly desirable
