Purpose

:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule to ensure that customer demand, inventory targets, material availability, and capacity constraints are balanced effectively. This role is a key enabler of operational efficiency, future business success, and cross‑functional alignment across Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Finance.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

To continuously developed and maintain the master production schedule in line with customer expectations, whilst ensuring a level production, keeping manning fluctuations to a minimum week to week

·

Collaborate closely with Operations, Procurement, Sales and Finance to ensure the schedule is realist, achievable and in line with business expectations.

·

Review schedule adherence daily, supporting stakeholders in corrective action planning to achieve the production plan.

·

Create a production schedule once orders are released to the business, and monitor attainment to plan daily, considering constraints.

·

Create forecasts considering future orders so the business can assess capacity constraints and look at manning and material requirements to various scenarios.

·

Implement a range of Lean manufacturing disciplines that will reduce costs in the section or improve capacity, such as KanBans, 5S, Line Balancing, and assist in VSM and other Lean Tool Kit tools.

·

Monitor and forecast COMAH limits and ensure compliance.

·

Provide Operations Manager with a labour profile against the Master Schedule.

·

Identify Kaizen projects to remove waste from sections, and personally lead, or engage with the CI team and Manufacturing Engineers. Must have led at a minimum of 6 projects in a 12-month period and recorded on an approved Story Board.

Create a master schedule that can be used for detailed material/capacity planning as well as financial planning. Establish a working relationship with all company functions.

Actively participate in Sales & Operations Planning, helping to set priorities when demand outstrips capacity. Run rough cut capacity planning monthly; maintain and update capacity data for all critical site resources.

·

To coordinate with purchasing, the raw materials, parts and packaging required to meet the promised delivery dates.

·

Give support in providing costs for tenders.

·

To accurately maintain planning data with the ERP system.

·

To lead development and integration programmes of system-based planning tools.

·

Ensure data integrity across BOMs, routings, lead times and other key planning parameters.

·

Conduct "What-if" analysis to evaluate impact of demand changes, supply issues, or capacity constraints, identifying risks to plan adherence with proposals for mitigating actions.

·

To assist with business development projects as and when required.

·

To ensure that all site rules are observed as per PW Defence's Integrated Management System.

·

To understand and inform Company policy on Health and Safety best practice at work.

·

To fulfil other tasks deemed appropriate by the company.

·

To carry out all the duties that comply and satisfy the Health and Safety at Work Legislation, that is to work safely and with due regard to health, safety and welfare of both them and of any other employees in the company.
