We're seeking an ambitious Indirect Procurement Category Manager to join our dynamic Group Procurement team, operating across the UK and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a fast-paced organisation with significant influence across multiple business units.

About the Role

As an Indirect Procurement Category Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering value and cost savings across a diverse range of contracts and categories. You'll work on UK and European procurement projects, driving efficiencies, harmonising supplier relationships, and maximising value through smart, commercially astute purchasing.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver against agreed procurement and cost-saving targets.
  • Undertake procurement projects that consider total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Analyse tail spend to identify consolidation and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts in the £50k-£500k range.
  • Manage supplier performance, benchmarking, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies on safety, environmental, and social responsibility.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in supply chain/procurement, ideally in a matrix organisation.
  • Qualifications: CIPS accredited (MCIPS) or working towards, OR a relevant degree/HNC.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and Excel expertise.
  • Languages: German fluency is essential.
  • Mindset: Innovative, commercially savvy, and confident influencing at senior levels.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel within Europe.
