W Talent is proud to be supporting a market-leading organisation in the search for a Health, Safety and Environment Co-ordinator to join their dedicated HSE team based in Redditch. This role plays a vital part in maintaining statutory safety compliance, promoting a positive safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement across all levels of the business.

The Role:
As a Health, Safety and Environment Co-ordinator, you'll assist in maintaining the company's statutory safety compliance in line with current legislation and help drive a proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental management across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the HSE department in implementing an effective safety management system
  • Participate in accident investigations and identify root causes with relevant departments
  • Conduct risk assessments and help implement effective Safe Systems of Work
  • Deliver site safety inductions for new starters and contractors
  • Organise and manage external safety training providers
  • Support routine compliance audits and inspections
  • Contribute to short- and long-term initiatives to reduce safety incidents and observations
  • Manage contractors and ensure their processes meet site standards
  • Assist in waste management and statutory document control
  • Oversee PPE control and reordering
  • Chair monthly Health and Safety Committee meetings
  • Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the business

Key Requirements:
Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Health and Safety role
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Auditing experience
  • Understanding of chemicals and hazardous substances

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and fact-finding ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Organised and proactive approach
