W Talent is delighted to be partnering with a leading manufacturer of homecare and cleaning products based in Redditch. The business is recognised for its innovative, high-quality products supplied across UK retail and international markets. Due to continued growth, the company is now seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator to support operations at their Redditch manufacturing facility.
This is a key role within the site team, responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible working environment across the manufacturing site.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, while driving a proactive safety culture across the site.
Working closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams, the EHS Coordinator will support continuous improvement initiatives, reduce risk, and ensure best practice is embedded in all site activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of site EHS policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and workplace inspections
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Promote a positive safety culture through training, coaching, and engagement with employees
- Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and documentation in line with company and legal requirements
- Assist in the development and delivery of EHS training programmes across the site
- Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, and resource usage
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and environmental impact
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Assist with external audits and liaise with regulatory bodies where required
Key Requirements
- NEBOSH Certificate (or working towards) is essential; NEBOSH Diploma or further qualifications are desirable
- Proven experience in an EHS, Health & Safety, or similar role within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
- Understanding of environmental management practices (e.g., waste, sustainability, compliance)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proactive and detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- A hands-on approach with a strong commitment to promoting a safe working environment
Salary & Benefits
A salary up to £35,000 plus a benefits package is on offer.
