The Opportunity

As Stock Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the smooth running of warehouse operations. Working closely with the Stock Control Manager, you will ensure inbound and outbound stock processes are completed accurately, stock levels are maintained, and warehouse standards remain high. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and efficiency across warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound deliveries and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Complete stock checks to ensure products are received accurately and meet quality standards.
  • Replenish stock and maintain an organised and efficient warehouse layout.
  • Carry out regular and ad hoc stock counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Update inventory systems with accurate stock information and support stock adjustments.
  • Monitor outstanding purchase orders and assist with resolving discrepancies.
  • Support quality checks on outbound orders and report any issues.
  • Assist with supplier returns and stock handling processes.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Operations teams to support stock planning and accuracy.
  • Identify recurring stock issues and escalate to the Stock Control Manager.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

About You

to be considered for the role, you must have:

  • Previous experience within stock control, inventory management
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience using warehouse management or inventory systems (NetSuite).
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to follow processes and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach with good problem-solving skills.
  • Experience handling technical or trade-related products .
  • Forklift licence or experience operating material handling equipment would be desirable but not essential.

  • Salary of £27,750 per annum.
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 08:00-17:00.
