Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a focus on full stack development using C# and .NET frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience working with MS SQL Server, design patterns, and web services (Web API, REST, SOAP). Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and knowledge of hedge fund or investment banking, particularly on the buy-side, is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the Geneva platform to meet the evolving needs of our asset management operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using C# and .NET frameworks (3.5/4.0).
- Design and implement database solutions using MS SQL Server.
- Utilize design patterns to create robust and maintainable code.
- Develop and integrate Web API, REST, and SOAP web services.
- Ensure the platform operates smoothly within Unix/Linux environments.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the platform.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of development experience as a full stack developer.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong experience with C# and .NET frameworks (3.5/4.0).
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server for database design and management.
- Solid understanding of design patterns and best practices in software development.
- Experience developing and consuming Web API, REST, and SOAP web services.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Preferred Experience: Knowledge of hedge funds or investment banking, particularly on the buy-side.
