Known for expertise across power generation, transmission and distribution (T&D), and renewable energy projects, our client is a leader in delivering cutting-edge infrastructure solutions to meet growing demands in the Southeast and beyond. This role requires a senior-level project management professional with proven experience in high-voltage transmission engineering and construction projects.

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading high-profile, complex high-voltage transmission engineering and construction projects. This role includes full project lifecycle management, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance while delivering projects on time and within budget. Working cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and regulatory teams, this role is pivotal in driving project success and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of high-voltage transmission projects, from initial planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans, ensuring alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear, ongoing communication.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing risks, and implementing solutions to mitigate impacts on timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and quality controls.
  • Report regularly to senior management, providing insights into project status, budget adherence, and potential challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing high-voltage transmission engineering and/or construction projects, with at least 5 years in a senior project management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements in the T&D sector.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a collaborative and dynamic project environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • PMP certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus.
