The Role:

As a Quality Engineer, you'll take ownership of high-precision inspection activities and lead the implementation of quality assurance strategies. You'll be hands-on in metrology operations, particularly using FARO arm and CMM systems while collaborating across departments to drive continual improvement and ensure the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and program FARO arms for component inspection and validation using Polyworks software.

* Support operation/programming of CMM systems (QCT Quantum 4 with QCT software) at a secondary site.

* Utilise PMI data and GD&T principles to develop datum reporting strategies.

* Analyse inspection results and prepare detailed, actionable reports.

* Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve nonconformances and apply corrective/preventive actions.

* Maintain inspection standards, control plans, and calibration schedules.

* Contribute to design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly reviews.

* Support continuous improvement through trend analysis and process optimisation recommendations.

Key Requirements:

* Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical or engineering qualifications preferred.

* Experience:

  • Proven experience in quality, metrology, or inspection roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in FARO arm operating and ideally programming with Polyworks software.
  • Experience with CMM operation/programming (QCT Quantum 4 ideal, but transferable CMM skills acceptable).

Skills:

o Strong understanding of GD&T, datum structures, and PMI-based reporting

o Broad knowledge of manufacturing techniques and related inspection requirements
