Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Cost Control Specialist to join our client's team. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial discipline and cost efficiency throughout our project lifecycles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, finance, or construction, combined with experience in project controls and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to estimate costs, forecast project expenditures, and ensure alignment with financial targets.
  • Engage in detailed monthly cost-related reporting to track, analyze, and report project financial status.
  • Manage and oversee the financial activities related to purchasing processes, including:
    • Setting up new suppliers in the system.
    • Creating and managing purchase requisitions and orders.
    • Overseeing invoicing and ensuring timely payment distributions.
  • Utilize Oracle Fusion for all financial transactions and reporting to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with project managers and other team members to reconcile project expenditures and adjust budgets as needed.
  • Contribute to project reviews and audits to identify any financial discrepancies and propose corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Finance/Accounting, preferably in engineering or construction sectors.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion or similar ERP software is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for project needs.
