This Manufacturer has a focus on innovation and driving continuous improvement and is now seeking a forward-thinking Process Engineering Lead to join their team and drive process optimization and technical excellence across the business.

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Process Engineering Lead to oversee a small team of process engineers and spearhead process improvement initiatives, root cause analysis (RCA), and technical knowledge transfer within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, coupled with excellent leadership skills and a passion for driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of process engineers to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the underlying causes of process deviations, quality issues, and inefficiencies, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, maintenance, and R&D, to define and implement process optimization strategies that enhance product quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive the development and implementation of best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical standards to ensure consistency and reliability in manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to troubleshoot complex process issues, resolve technical challenges, and optimize equipment performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends, advancements in process engineering technology, and regulatory/legislative requirements, and apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical field.
  • Proven experience in process/manufacturing/CI engineering within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process optimization, root cause analysis, and technical leadership.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Solid understanding of process validation principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices in process engineering.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
