W Talent Engineering are proud to be partnering with a leading UK manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Process Engineering Lead. This is an exciting strategic role responsible for rationalising and re-mapping production processes, layouts, and equipment across two Midlands-based facilities as the business continues its transformation and growth journey.

The Opportunity

As Process Engineering Lead, you will take ownership of end-to-end manufacturing process optimisation, driving standardisation and efficiency across both sites. You will work closely with Operations Leadership, Production Management, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver world-class production capability and data accuracy that supports current output and future scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the rationalisation, redesign, and optimisation of production layouts and manufacturing workflows across two sites.
  • Analyse and define BOM structures, routings, and cycle times to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Evaluate, specify, and implement production technologies and equipment (Capex & Opex).
  • Maintain and control SAP Item data, including Mesh Cat on SAP CRM.
  • Support and approve engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Lead INNO / NPI activities, including prototypes, new items, and engineering design changes.
  • Oversee lab and testing activities to validate product and process performance.
  • Define and implement ordinary maintenance plans in collaboration with Maintenance teams.
  • Track and report on Production KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • Full ownership and governance of company-wide MRP data and structure.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to plan and release production orders aligned to customer demand.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven background in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering leadership.
  • Experience working across multi-site manufacturing environments.
  • Strong capability in layout optimisation, lean tools, and equipment planning.
  • Advanced working knowledge of SAP within a manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrable experience of MRP, NPI, and change management processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder and cross-functional leadership skills.
