An exciting opportunity has become available for a Management Accountant to join a well-established but growing organisation who have successfully acquired a couple of other organisations and are therefore seeking to appoint a number of key finance positions.

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of monthly management reporting for the business units of circa £15-20m turnover, including variance analysis vs. budget and forecast, capex and balance sheet reporting, intercompany and production of Board reporting pack schedules.
  • Supporting with weekly/monthly/quarterly cashflow forecasts for the business unit as required.
  • Supporting the sales ledger process to ensure invoices are raised and settled in a timely manner to support the cashflow of the business.
  • Providing commercial finance support to the business to ensure margins are maximised through close management of the supply chain from materials, production, stock and WIP.
  • Responding to group finance team requests in relation to each of the business units.
  • Provision of information to, and liaison with, auditors to ensure effective annual audit process for the business unit.
  • Wider finance team and ad-hoc project support as required.
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements, efficiency initiatives and financial controls.

Key Relationships/Interactions: (Internally and Externally)

  • Customers – internal customers include leadership teams and the new Group, as well as the Executive team.
  • Key Suppliers – these include external auditors, banking partners and professional services vendors.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Behaviours:

Essential

  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience in Finance Business Partnering.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Creative and dynamic – think outside the box, challenge the norm.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business.
  • Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders across the business.
