Freight & Logistics Coordinator

The company supplies innovative, high-quality products across UK retail and international markets. They are now looking for a Freight & Logistics Coordinator to join their Supply Chain and Logistics team at their Redditch site.

The Role
As Freight & Logistics Coordinator, you will support the smooth running of shipping and transport operations. You'll work closely with the wider Supply Chain team to help coordinate deliveries, prepare documentation, and communicate with carriers and internal departments.
You will gain hands-on experience across domestic and international logistics, with support from the Head of Logistics and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of domestic and international shipments
- Book transport with freight forwarders, couriers, and carriers
- Prepare shipping documents including delivery notes, invoices, and export paperwork
- Track shipments and help resolve delays or delivery issues
- Keep accurate records of shipments within internal systems (ERP/TMS)
- Support customs and export documentation processes where required
- Assist with checking freight invoices against agreed rates
- Communicate with warehouse teams and 3PL providers regarding shipments
- Help maintain smooth day-to-day logistics operations
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Customer Service, and Finance teams
Key Requirements
- Experience in logistics, supply chain or administration (training provided)
- Interest in freight, shipping, and international logistics
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
- Basic experience with systems such as ERP or Excel
- Positive, proactive attitude and team player mindset
Salary & Benefits
- £28,000-£30,000 salary
