We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer – specializing in Protection and Controls (P&C) Engineering to join our clients team in the substation sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis: Assist in the detailed engineering design and analysis of substation protection and control systems.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, design specifications, and construction documents related to substation P&C systems.
- Testing and Commissioning: Support the testing and commissioning of protection and control equipment in substations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, including civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers, to ensure project success.
- Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings to understand their needs and provide technical support.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during project execution.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control reviews of project deliverables to ensure the highest standards of engineering are maintained.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve engineering solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Entry-level position; internship or co-op experience in substation protection and controls is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with industry-standard software such as SEL-501, SEL-587, and other protection relays. Experience with AutoCAD and GIS tools is a plus.
- Certifications: EIT (Engineer in Training) certification preferred but not required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
