Indirect Procurement Category Manager (£70,000 + Package)
Location: West Yorkshire
We are seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Category Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management across key indirect procurement categories. This is a strategic role focused on cost optimisation, supplier performance, and value delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category sourcing strategies across indirect procurement
- Drive savings using Total Acquisition Cost (TAC) methodology
- Source, assess, and manage suppliers to meet quality, cost, and compliance targets
- Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business needs
- Monitor supplier performance and support standardised KPI frameworks
- Conduct market analysis to inform category strategy and innovation
- Ensure all procurement activity meets legal, ethical, and corporate standards
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier data
Experience & Skills:
- Proven expertise in indirect procurement category management
- Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities
- Experience in aligning procurement strategies with business objectives
- Skilled in supplier risk management and data-driven decision making
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline preferred
- MCIPS qualified or working towards
- 3-5 years' experience in indirect procurement roles
