An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and ambitious Buyer to join a growing manufacturing business with a diverse and well-established customer base.
As Buyer, you will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement of materials, components, and services required to support a range of customer programmes and manufacturing operations. Working closely with internal stakeholders across production, engineering, planning, and supply chain, you will ensure the timely delivery of parts while maintaining cost, quality, and supplier performance objectives.
This role is ideally suited to someone with hands-on experience in operational or industrial procurement who is looking to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking organisation. You'll be joining a strong and experienced procurement team, providing an excellent environment to develop your skills, learn from industry experts, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, components, and services to meet operational requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity of supply.
- Support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor inventory levels and demand requirements to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Resolve supply chain issues and proactively manage risks.
About You:
- Previous experience in a Buyer or Procurement role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong operational procurement experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation abilities.
- Proactive, driven, and keen to develop a long-term career in procurement.
- Able to identify opportunities for improvement and drive positive change.
