Overview

A leading European brokerage and research-driven platform is seeking an experienced High Yield & Distressed Credit Salesperson to strengthen its pan-European fixed income franchise. The firm has a strong presence across continental institutional investors and offers deep corporate research coverage, corporate access, and active primary/secondary flow in convertibles and credit.

Responsibilities

• Cover and develop relationships with hedge funds and real-money asset managers investing in high yield, distressed debt, and corporate bonds.

• Distribute HY, IG, distressed, special situations, and selected loan products.

• Provide clients with market intelligence and high-quality credit analysis (structures, covenants, recovery, capital structure).

• Develop new accounts and expand the firm’s client penetration across the UK and continental Europe.

• Work closely with research, trading, and origination teams to generate trade ideas and leverage internal strengths.

• Contribute meaningfully to desk revenues with a track record of sustained business generation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in credit sales (HY, distressed, special situations).

• Strong relationships with UK or European institutional credit investors.

• Solid understanding of bond structures, valuations, and event-driven opportunities.

• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and able to grow business beyond platform flow.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Candidate Profile

• Comes from a sell-side credit broker or bank.

• May include experienced credit sales, distressed sales, or distressed traders wishing to move into sales.

• Motivated to join a platform with strong research resources, international reach, and significant room to grow a client book.
