Our Client
Our client is a well-established company specializing in high-quality tools and equipment for professional and private use, serving industries such as outdoor environment, wine-growing, agricultural business and landscaping. With a strong reputation for innovation, precision, and sustainability, the company is a leader in its field, providing cutting-edge solutions that meet the highest industry standards. To strengthen their presence in the German-speaking Swiss market, they are looking for a Commercial Development Manager to drive commercial activities.
Responsibilities
- Implement and execute the commercial and marketing strategy in line with company objectives for German-speaking Switzerland.
- Manage and coordinate all sales and marketing activities across the region.
- Spend approximately four days per week on the road, engaging with customers and ensuring strong market presence.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, regularly visiting existing customers and driving new business development.
- Manage the order portfolio, ensuring a seamless customer experience and building long-term trust.
- Organize and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and commercial events.
- Monitor market trends and insights, reporting key information to the Swiss Sales Manager.
- Ensure merchandising and promotional materials are effectively utilized at points of sale.
- Train and support sales personnel involved in promoting the company’s products.
- Maintain close contact with educational institutions in viticulture, arboriculture, and landscaping.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to quality, environmental, and health & safety standards.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales or business development role, with a proven track record in meeting sales targets.
- Background in commercial sales or relevant industries such as outdoor environment, wine-growing, agricultural business or landscaping.
- Strong ability to sell and present technical products.
- Native Swiss German speaker with fluent written and spoken German; good level in French and English.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP systems (ProConcept), Power BI, and CRM tools.
