Country Financial Controller

Our client is a medium-sized subsidiary, based in Rho, Italy, of a large multinational group headquartered in Switzerland. The company operates in the industrial automation and material handling sector, providing innovative solutions for logistics, production, and supply chain management. Their high-quality systems are used across various industries, including manufacturing, retail, and e-commerce, ensuring efficient and reliable operations. Responsibilities

• Supervise Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Lerdger Accounting
• Oversee customer billing in collaboration with the internal sales team
• Manage monthly IAS closures and annual financial statements for group consolidation
• Conduct quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and monthly intercompany reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with VAT and fiscal regulations in Italy and Switzerland
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax obligations with external consultants
• Support the Transfer Pricing consultant in preparing documentation
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance
• Supervise payroll processing with support from an external provider
• Act as the Local HR Operations Manager, ensuring compliance with labor laws
• Serve as the Local Privacy Coordinator for data protection compliance
• Lead and develop a small team of three finance professionals
• Drive internal process improvements and ensure ESG reporting compliance

Your Profile

• 10+ years of experience in a similar role within a small to medium-sized company, preferably a part of a big group
• Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP, IFRS, and IAS regulations
• Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and intercompany reconciliations
• Knowledge of Italian labor law and Payroll Management
• Familiar with local and international taxation frameworks, including VAT
• Proficient in Excel and SAP S/4HANA, knowledge of other accounting and reporting tools are an avantage
• Proven team management skills with the ability to lead and develop a small team
• Empathetic and diplomatic approach, able to build consensus and drive ideas forward smoothly
• Business-Fluency in English. Good knowledge of German or French would be an advantage
